Welcome to The Grove
A classic Georgian house surrounded by mature trees in a delightful 200 year old, flower filled garden with six terraces - this tranquil refuge is a haven for animal and birdlife and is located only minutes from Bath's bustling and historic city centre. The accommodation has recently been lovingly restored and modernised with the emphasis on spaciousness, comfort and luxury and it reflects its owners artistic background containing his collection of books, paintings and figurative sculptures as well as his main studio.
Your host is Robert Hornyold-Strickland who was brought up in a National Trust property in the Lake District and delights in entertaining guests in his family home. He retains a deep love of the English countryside but has also travelled extensively overseas. He recently retired from a successful business career to pursue his artistic interests and has established himself as a talented photographer, painter and figurative sculptor. He is happy to show guests around his studio at mutually convenient times. Robert has three teenage children who live with him part of the time. |
